Hong Kong: Do Together
From haute couture and tailor-made suits to state-of-the-art digital equipment -Hong Kong has a vast range of merchandise on sale. Here, big brand boutiques nestle alongside bargain stores. The Night Market, the Ladies Market, Temple Street and the market around Stanley village are worth visiting. As are Causeway Bay Festival Walk, Times Square and Sogo as well as the trendy, upmarket shops on Nathan Road, Pedder Road or Pacific Place. Walk hand-in-hand and window-shop; that too, is a great way to see the city. What really makes the shopping in Hong Kong fun is that you can buy anything from the very expensive to the very affordable. If you or your partner are really serious shoppers, a good time to plan your visit is during the Chinese New Year when there are fabulous sales on just about everything, with discounts even upto 90 per cent! Makes you wonder why they don't just give it away for free! Also check out Tsim shat sui : The japan Home Store has great bargains and Watson's is great for excellent deals in chocolates and little gifts. Fortress is fabulous for electronics and the HMV store for discounts on music you may never find here.
